- Principal Architect
Gulahmed
Gulahmed is the founder and principal architect of Elegans Design Studio, a Mangalore-based practice focused on architecture, interiors, and execution.
He completed his Bachelor of Architecture from Srinivas School of Architecture in 2023 and gained early professional experience with Architechnics under Architect Peter Mascarenhas and Alva & Associates under Architect Suprith Alva, contributing to residential and site-driven projects.
His design philosophy is rooted in simplicity, elegance, and purpose—creating spaces that are timeless, functional, and thoughtfully detailed. He believes good design goes beyond aesthetics, focusing on how spaces are experienced and executed.
With a strong inclination towards construction, his approach integrates design with execution, ensuring seamless coordination from concept to completion. He places emphasis on practical solutions, material understanding, and active site involvement.
A key strength of his practice is the ability to translate design intent into reality with high accuracy—ensuring that the final executed space closely reflects the approved 3D visualisations, refined to the highest standard of detail and finish.
In 2025, he founded Elegans Design Studio with a clear vision to craft spaces that embody elegance and innovation, delivering well-executed, detail-driven environments tailored to client needs.
